RESONANCE: RECONNECT

At Resonance Gathering, practices that cultivate harmony—breath-work, movement, dance, song, storytelling, circle-work, shared meals, and healing arts—are woven together into an intimate micro-festival. 

This month’s gathering centers on reconnection—in a world where disconnection is not only common but incentivized. Here, we return—to our breath, our bodies, and our community. This season, we gather in a special underground portal in a private residence in Bushwick, enriched with two new elements: an infrared sauna and a jacuzzi, inviting deeper relaxation and integration.

A special Conflict Transformation Workshop, led by Inheritance Project, awaits all who arrive by 4:30 PM ET. This offering is a deep listening and peace-making process, a guide to meeting the moment with grace—transforming tension into understanding, division into unity, and challenges into opportunities for love.

What is resonance?

From the latin 'resonare' - to reverberate, to vibrate.

Resonance is the echo of connection; 
the way our eyes meet and reflect each other
the way our hearts sync to the rhythm of a shared beat,
the way our voices rise together in song, our bodies unite in dance 
and our stories ripple outward, touching lives beyond our own.

OUR VENUE

Resonance will take place at a special underground portal inside a private residence in Bushwick. The address will be revealed to ticket-holders a few days prior to gathering. This space features a 2-person infrared sauna and a 4-person jacuzzi (15 mins/pp). Towels and house slippers provided.

*Please note that there is a cat on-site, and that nuts are consumed where food is prepared.

Resonance Creations is a female-led community, and our mission is to create safe spaces for all humans to become catalysts for one another's transformation, joy and collective expansion.

RESONANCE AGREEMENTS

1. No shoes inside. A coat and shoe closet will be provided for belongings.

2. No phones on the dance floor.

3. No drinks on the dance floor.
*We are an alcohol-free event.

4. No conversations on the dance floor or in the healing area.
Conversation is greatly encouraged everywhere else!
You are encouraged to meet at least 3 people you haven't met before.

 DJ SPASIBA, Co-Producer, Curator

Katya Stepanov (she/her) believes that freedom begins in the body. She is a Post-Soviet Jewish-Ukrainian-Russian artist, facilitator, singer, DJ, entrepreneur, healer, musician, and poet. Katya created Resonance with the intention to open a portal of connection, wisdom and love. She is a co-founder of Inheritance Project, Event Alchemist at We Are DFL and a resident artist of Collective BAE - a NYC based impact agency amplifying cross-cultural connection, collaboration, co-creation and wellness for ALL. As DJ SPASIBA, her sound reflects her third-culture-kid experiences interweaving jungle beats, afrohouse and latinhouse with soaring melodies and funk.

Ariel Figueroa is a Puerto Rican and Jewish healer, facilitator, human impact entrepreneur, and culinary adventurer.

Connection Games

Nasimeh B.E. is an artist, facilitator, and coach based in New York. With a varied background in somatic work, creativity, and performance, she weaves together her multiple skillsets to facilitate workshops, experiences, and art that uplifts, transforms, and inspires. The creator of "Inner Child Art Day," a monthly gathering that gets adults in touch with their inner play, as well as a skilled life coach and prolific artist, her work has been seen on places as varied as UpWorthy, Buzzfeed, and The Disney Channel. When she is not working, she is often found walking all over her beloved Brooklyn.

MALLORY COMBEMALE (she/her)
Breath Connection

Mallory Combemale is the founder of Breath Connection and co-founder of the Inheritance Project. In her 10+ years exploring yoga, meditation, Reiki, and many different spiritual traditions, she has found breath practices to be the most powerful tool for transformation and connection. She is a grateful student and teacher of the Himalayan kriya yoga tradition through Ananda Mehrotra (Sattva Yoga Academy, 500Hr YTT) and the neuroscience of breath (Nalanda Institute). Her teaching and work is also shaped by her training as an ethnographer and experience as a professional facilitator. When not facilitating or teaching breath-work, you’ll find her dancing, cooking and hanging out with trees.

From medicina melodies inspired by her work with indigenous elders, to the sensual groove of R&B legends, Serena is a true Siren of Soul. Her performances are a sonic playground, leaving audiences wildly re-inspired by the healing, transformational power of music.

Drawing inspiration from her roots in the Twin Cities hip-hop underground and the contemporary Brooklyn electronic scene, this multi-instrumentalist (piano, drums, marimba, auxiliary percussion) blends an eclectic fusion of her influences and training in classical, jazz, rock, contemporary, and West African music. Marjan strives to foster a sense of unity on the dance floor. Through her music, she creates a space where individuals from all walks of life can come together, celebrating their differences while sharing in the universal language of rhythm and melody. She weaves a musical narrative of driving beats, hypnotic melodies, and carefully curated tracks that showcase her taste and deep understanding of the music she loves.
