RESONANCE: REVERBERATE

At Resonance Gathering, we weave breath-work, movement, dance, song, storytelling, circle-work, shared meals, and healing arts into an intimate micro-festival rooted in harmony. This season, we gather in a private underground portal in Bushwick.

This month’s gathering centers on reverberation—the echo of our merging sound-waves as they ripple through time. "If you can talk you can sing, if you can walk you can dance." - Zimbabwean proverb

We are honored to host Morgan Sörne for a "Finding Our Voice" Holistic Vocal Workshop. Morgan guides fellow singers through a series of fundamental vocal exercises with the intention of opening the heart and mind, breaking through inhibitions and mental barriers, allowing for the exploration of the voice in a safe and respectful space. No previous singing experience required.

From the latin 'resonare' - to reverberate, to vibrate.

Resonance is the echo of connection; 
the way our eyes meet and reflect each other
the way our hearts sync to the rhythm of a shared beat,
the way our voices rise together in song, our bodies unite in dance 
and our stories ripple outward, touching lives beyond our own.

OUR VENUE

Resonance will take place at a special underground portal inside a private residence in Bushwick. The address will be revealed to ticket-holders a few days prior to gathering. This space features a 2-person infrared sauna and a 4-person jacuzzi (15 mins/pp). Towels and house slippers provided.

*Please note that there is a cat on-site, and that nuts are consumed where food is prepared.

Resonance Creations is a female-led community, and our mission is to create safe spaces for all humans to become catalysts for one another's transformation, joy and collective expansion.

RESONANCE AGREEMENTS

1. No shoes inside. A coat and shoe closet will be provided for belongings.

2. No phones on the dance floor.

3. No drinks on the dance floor.
*We are an alcohol-free event.

4. No conversations on the dance floor or in the healing area.
Conversation is greatly encouraged everywhere else!
You are encouraged to meet at least 3 people you haven't met before.

5. Consent is required. 

*We have zero tolerance for violence, racism, transphobia, sexism or other discriminatory language or actions.

ABOUT THE CREATORS

KATYA STEPANOV (she/her)
 DJ SPASIBA, Co-Producer, Curator

Katya Stepanov (she/her) believes that freedom begins in the body. She is a Post-Soviet Jewish-Ukrainian-Russian artist, facilitator, singer, DJ, entrepreneur, healer, musician, and poet. Katya created Resonance with the intention to open a portal of connection, wisdom and love. She is a co-founder of Inheritance Project, Advisor at We Are DFL and a resident artist of Collective BAE - a NYC based impact agency amplifying cross-cultural connection, collaboration, co-creation and wellness for ALL. As DJ SPASIBA, her sound reflects her third-culture-kid experiences interweaving jungle beats, afro-house and latin-house with soaring melodies and funk.

IRIS (she/her)
Co-Producer / Facilitator

Iris is a New York based multifaceted artist, combining colorful vocals, production and live looping to create hypnotic, multi dimensional sound scapes, ranging from mediations to beat centric dance music.  Focusing on improvisation and what is alive in the moment, Iris has a diverse background in sound healing, mysticism and vocal liberation. She believes music is magic- a force of change + evolution, a tool to help us realize dreams into being. She thinks of her sets as entering into a spaceship, though she may be at the helm, everyone is a part of the music, and the journey is one we are on together.

MORGAN SÖRNE (he/him)
Facilitator

An award-winning multi-disciplinary artist, composer, and musician, Sörne’s 5-octave voice is at the core of his work. He’s celebrated for his hypnotic vocal collages, infused with primal energy and emotional depth that feel otherworldly. As Red River Noise puts it, “Sörne sounds of the future, fearlessly gazing back at you, wrapped in mysticism.”

Named a rising star by Rolling Stone and NPR, Sörne has performed at renowned venues like Art Basel, Miami The Walker Center for Performing Arts, Sundance Film Festival, Irving Plaza, and the Fillmore Theatre.

His unique talents have led to collaborations with artists like Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails), TV on the Radio, CocoRosie, Gary Numan, Beats Antique, and composer Bear McCreary. His music has also been featured in projects like The Witcher: Blood Origin(Netflix), American Horror Story (FX), Life After Gravity (3DR), and more.
